The Dream Center is a faith based 501(c)3 non-profit. We exist to encourage, educate and empower people in need through the love of Jesus Christ. Everything we do as an organization, is intended to provide a hand UP instead of a hand out including our one year Opportunity Village Housing program.

Location: The Opportunity Village / Dream Center
Position Summary
The Assistant Resident Manager supports the day-to-day operations of The Opportunity Village and helps ensure a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for women and their children. This role focuses heavily on transportation, resident support, childcare assistance, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, professionalism, maturity, and a heart for trauma-informed, Christ-centered service.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Support & Transportation
- Provide reliable transportation for residents to and from appointments, work-related errands, and other approved outings.
- Accompany residents to the library, YMCA, and other community resources as scheduled.
- Serve as the primary transport for residents who need to pick up sick children from school or daycare.
- Assist residents with sick children, including staying with the child as needed so the mother can prepare meals while in quarantine.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for all transport activities according to program procedures.
When Driving is Minimal, Assistant Resident Manager assists with the following:
Childcare & Family Support
- Provide childcare assistance as needed, particularly during emergencies, sick-child scenarios, or quarantine-related adjustments.
- Support residents in developing appropriate routines for their children that align with Opportunity Village guidelines.
Program Operations
- Organize donations and maintain cleanliness, order, and inventory within the Opportunity Village Closet, ensuring items are sorted, labeled, and accessible for staff and residents.
- Monitor Study Hall sessions, ensuring residents follow expectations, maintain appropriate conduct, and receive support as needed.
- Monitor resident class attendance, reporting concerns or patterns of non-attendance to the Resident Success Manager.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, copying and preparing materials for classes
Community Living & Safety
- Model healthy communication, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed interactions at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in social services, childcare, ministry, or related fields preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Experience in residential programs, childcare, ministry, or trauma-informed settings is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the Program Director, Resident Success Manager, and other staff.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with occasional physical tasks (e.g., donation sorting).

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
