Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of public areas within the hotel. This position is essential for ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests and upholding the high standards of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common spaces.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning and industrial cleaning tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries or requests regarding cleanliness or maintenance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel environment or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with janitorial practices, custodial experience, or industrial cleaning techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
