Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing within a healthcare or dental setting; prior dental office experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), DRG classifications, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel; experience with billing software and EMR/EHR systems is essential.
- Familiarity with health insurance policies, medical records management, and medical collection procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, insurance providers, and team members.
- Ability to analyze complex billing issues quickly and implement effective solutions while maintaining attention to detail.
