Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Coordinate mobile outreach in underserved rural communities
- Host and facilitate listening sessions and community conversations
- Lead monthly recognition initiatives highlighting positive community leadership
- Build partnerships with chambers, civic groups, schools, and businesses
Volunteer & Donor Engagement
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers
- Develop structured volunteer onboarding
- Coordinate donor appreciation efforts
- Draft thank-you letters, recognition posts, and acknowledgment campaigns
Communications & Materials Development
- Develop and implement social media strategies (Facebook, Instagram, emerging platforms)
- Create outreach materials (flyers, brochures, digital content)
- Assist with public awareness campaigns
- Ensure messaging is culturally responsive and accessible
Prevention & Education Support
- Support community prevention initiatives
- Collaborate with advocates and educators on outreach strategy
- Assist in event planning and implementation
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with social media strategy and content creation
- Ability to design basic outreach materials (Canva or similar platforms)
- Comfortable working independently in rural communities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the service area
