We are hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our Charlotte, NC bakery and are offering weekly pay! The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving bakery production equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses equipment failures, and partners with Production, Sanitation, and Safety teams to support operational excellence while maintaining compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards. Compensation starts at $27.00 per hour, dependent upon relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on bakery production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Complete maintenance work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Follow all safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements, GMPs, PPE requirements, and food safety standards.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and powered industrial equipment as trained and certified.
• Support Production, Sanitation, and Safety teams to achieve operational goals.
• Maintain equipment reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
• Experience with industrial controls, sensors, motors, conveyors, and manufacturing equipment.

• Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical schematics.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree in Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, bakery manufacturing, or industrial production environments preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and reach overhead.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and industrial equipment.
• Regular schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Additional overtime, weekends, holidays, and schedule adjustments may be required based on business needs.
