Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such Toast
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently with POS systems including OpenTable integration
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed, demonstrating culinary awareness and teamwork
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast for seamless order processing and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with food industry standards including food preparation, hospitality principles, and guest relations
