We are looking for a passionate Part-Time Superbill Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary New York City team and contribute to our goal of making a difference
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Superbill Coordinator with strong Excel skills and knowledge of CPT coding to support our billing operations. The ideal candidate thrives on accuracy, enjoys working with data, and takes ownership of transforming raw information into precise superbills that ensure smooth and compliant reimbursement. What You Will Do:
Own the superbill process from start to finish — transforming raw Excel data and clinical reports into precise, compliant billing documents that drive accurate reimbursement
Assign and verify CPT and ICD-10 codes in accordance with insurance and compliance standards
Maintain organized, up-to-date billing logs and ensure alignment between service documentation, coding, and reimbursement requirements
Audit and reconcile billing data to identify discrepancies, ensuring clean, error-free submissions
Partner with the finance and clinical teams to clarify coding details and maintain consistent billing accuracy
Prepare and manage supporting documentation for internal reviews, audits, and insurance inquiries
What you need to qualify:
2 years of administrative or billing experience (behavioral health or medical setting preferred)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, data sorting, and formatting) and Google Sheets
Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD-10 terminology
Meticulous attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Clear, professional communication and collaborative working style
Experience with KIPU is a plus
Schedule: Part-time position; must be available during standard business hours (Monday–Friday). Hybrid schedule.
Compensation: $30/hour, commensurate with experience.
