Job Overview

The Doodie Brothers is a locally owned pet waste removal business serving the Louisville area. We are hiring a part time technician to service residential and commercial properties on recurring routes using their own reliable vehicle.

This is an outdoor, process oriented role. Once trained and assigned to a route, you will often service the same properties each week and become familiar with the expectations for each location.

Routes begin at 9:00 a.m. and end when all assigned stops are complete. Current routes are generally shorter than a full workday, with some taking up to about six hours. Hours will grow gradually as routes become denser.

This position is best suited for someone who is intentionally looking for consistent part time work rather than full time hours right away.

We provide all tools, training, supplies, and clear procedures. We are looking for someone dependable who can be trusted to complete their route thoroughly, communicate when something unusual comes up, and work with minimal supervision.

Compensation

$20 per hour.

Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS standard mileage rate for eligible business miles driven while servicing your route.

Responsibilities

• Scoop and remove pet waste from residential yards.
• Remove pet waste and litter from assigned commercial properties.
• Drive between assigned locations using your own reliable vehicle.
• Carefully complete each assigned property according to our established service and safety procedures.
• Use our mobile app to follow your route, review property instructions, and complete required service notes, photos, and documentation.
• Communicate promptly with the team when issues arise and interact with customers or property staff in a friendly and professional manner when needed.
• Work safely and efficiently outdoors while representing The Doodie Brothers professionally, including wearing your provided branded shirt when appropriate for the weather.

Skills and Requirements

• Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance.
• Smartphone with reliable cellular service for routes, navigation, property information, communication, and service documentation.
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable having friendly, professional interactions with customers and property staff when needed.
• Ability to follow established procedures consistently and manage assigned work without direct supervision.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather, walking for extended periods, and working around friendly dogs of different breeds and sizes.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, squat, walk, and carry medium to large bags of collected waste.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
