What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Intern position at THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER, INC?
We are looking for an intern with a special interest in communications, social work, education, events planning, or psychology!
This is a paid role based in the Richland County/Mansfield area.
Internship Description:
- Represent our organization at community events and tabling opportunities.
- Develop and design engaging programming and outreach initiatives.
- Give presentations to organizations and community and groups.
- Assist with event planning, promotion, and community engagement activities.
- Create outreach materials and media and marketing content.
- Current enrollment in Social Work, Communications, Education, Psychology program or related field.
- 8 to 20 hours per week.
- Pay Rate: $15 an hour.
- Tentative Time Frame: 6/15 - 9/14 (Flexible based on needs)
Requirements:
- Interest in communications, education, public relations, event planning, or psychology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with attention to detail.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects or ideas at once.
