Indrotec is hiring Nutrition Services Substitutes to support school kitchens throughout St. Paul Public Schools during the 2026–2027 school year. Join a team that helps provide nutritious meals to students every day while enjoying the flexibility of substitute work. As a substitute, you will be contacted when coverage is needed due to staff absences or increased staffing needs throughout the school year.
Position Highlights
- Pay: $17.00/hour
- Weekly pay
- Daytime hours. Most shifts between 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
- Work at various school locations throughout St. Paul school district
- Many sites accessible by public transportation

Responsibilities Include
- Assisting with food preparation and meal service for breakfast and/or lunch
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Stocking and organizing food, supplies, and deliveries
- Following food safety and district procedures
- Providing friendly and professional service to students and staff
Qualifications
- Ability to accept and work substitute assignments as needed
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Basic math and organizational skills
- Professional and positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 25 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull carts and supplies up to 75 lbs.
- Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Benefits: Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines.
