Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and plant equipment. 

This role supports production operations by diagnosing equipment issues, performing corrective and preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability and safety. The technician works under moderate supervision and utilizes technical knowledge, tools, schematics, drawings, and maintenance procedures to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing and plant equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, and other equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using technical drawings, schematics, specifications, manuals, and verbal or written instructions.
• Replace defective components and restore equipment to proper operating condition.
• Perform testing and inspections using standard electronic and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, work orders, and equipment documentation.
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
• Support production and operations teams by providing technical assistance related to equipment performance and reliability.
• Gather, compile, maintain, and interpret technical data using established procedures and formulas.
• Perform detailed measurements and calculations to support troubleshooting, repairs, and process improvements.
• Assist in identifying root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• May redesign or modify optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for integration into existing manufacturing equipment.
• Assist with estimating labor requirements, equipment costs, and material needs for maintenance projects.
• Prepare requisitions and coordinate with suppliers or internal departments as required.
• Support workplace safety initiatives and follow all applicable safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and recommend process enhancements to improve equipment uptime and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and assistance to new or entry-level technicians when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, or technical experience.
• Vocational training, technical certification, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of industrial maintenance systems, equipment, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing equipment.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical data and prepare reports.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, electrical controls, or automated equipment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Schedule and Rates

• 3^rd shift 10:30pm to 6:30am
• Will require training on 1^st shift for 2-3 weeks
• $30 p/hour

Benefits
