Duties
- Perform bathing, grooming, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other pet grooming services with precision and care
- Monitor dogs during their daycare stay, ensuring proper handling and safety at all times
- Assist in training dogs using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good behavior
- Handle animals with gentle restraint and care to prevent injury or stress during grooming or playtime
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and daycare areas to ensure a hygienic environment
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and progress
- Assist with pet sitting duties when needed, including feeding, walking, and providing companionship
Requirements
- Prior experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing tubs or moving supplies
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Must be reliable, energetic, and passionate about providing exceptional pet care services
