Grooming Assistant/Bather *ANIMAL-CARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The Dog Nanny Grooming Salon is looking for a part-time, experienced grooming assistant to join our pack! Our newly renovated, kennel-free salon has recently relocated to the heart of Andover. This is a face-paced role, ideal for those who enjoy staying active and busy!

*Applicants MUST have prior experience assisting in a grooming salon OR professional dog-care experience *, must be at least 18 years old with a reliable means of transportation, and must display a clear passion for four legged friends.

Responsibilities:

- Assist groomers with bathing, drying, and brushing dogs

- Handle and restrain animals during grooming

- Maintain a clean work space throughout the day

-Cleaning (vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing stations, taking out trash, etc).

Additional Requirements:

- Treat dogs with patience, kindness and respect.

- Be in good health and physically able to stand on your feet for an 8 hour shift and lift a minimum of 50lbs. safely on your own.

- Be available during our hours of operation, M-F from 8am to 5pm, as well as every other Saturday from 8am-5pm.

- Be willing and able to pass a background check.

- Display an understanding of the importance of punctuality when working by appointment.

- Be comfortable working closely with dogs of all breeds and sizes.

- Possess excellent face-to-face customer service skills.

- Have basic computer skills.

- Excel in time management.

- Be self-motivated.

- Must exhibit the ability to multi-task at a proficient level.

- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

- Show a willingness to work well with others as a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
