What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Clerk position at The Doe Fund?
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our Team. This position will complete the end-to-end processing of company payroll, assist in the maintenance of our Human Resources/Payroll Information system, aid in coordinating and implementing Human Resources/Payroll Information system changes, and interface directly with employee personnel and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of company payroll.
- Responsible for accuracy of time and attendance.
- Interact collaboratively with IT department for support and maintenance of the time and attendance system, as needed.
- Maintain payroll schedules.
- Confirm discrepancies in time and attendance, authorized overtime, shift differentials or reason for absences, either paid or unpaid.
- Review and process new hires, changes and terminations.
- Ensure mandated filings are accurate and completed on time.
- Process miscellaneous forms and requests including but not limited to tax forms, mortgage verifications, reimbursements, third party disability, etc.
- Act as a liaison with the payroll software representative for payroll issues.
- Support other data entry activities as required.
- Exhibit superior customer service and ensure requests are met in a timely fashion.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- AS degree preferred.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Knowledge of Paycom, a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, with strong numerical ability and data entry skills.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Full time 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday
