Mainstay is seeking an experienced property management professional who values both operational excellence and long-term strategy, and is ready to oversee a diverse regional portfolio.
This role oversees a diverse Richmond-based portfolio including:
- 143 multifamily apartments
- 30 commercial units (100,000 sq ft)
- 16 short-term rentals
- Direct leadership of 3 team members (Leasing, Maintenance, Remote Support)
This position offers a diverse portfolio across Richmond and Colonial Beach, VA, with real decision-making authority and the opportunity to drive measurable results across multifamily, commercial, and short-term assets.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multifamily, commercial, and short-term assets
- Manage budgets, monthly financial reporting, and CapEx planning
- Drive occupancy, revenue, and operational efficiency
- Lead and mentor a small team while fostering accountability and collaboration
- Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards
- Support ownership with long-term portfolio planning and market strategy
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in multifamily property management (commercial and STR experience a plus)
- Strong budgeting and financial reporting skills
- Experience with AppFolio preferred
- Ability to think strategically while staying hands-on
- Sound judgment and comfort navigating legal and regulatory requirements
- A calm, solutions-oriented leader who can adapt as priorities shift

Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
