What is a Licensed Practical Nurse?
A Licensed Practical Nurse is a Healthcare professional who supports the providers by doing both clinical and non clinical tasks.This allows the appointment to move more efficiently. A Licensed Practical Nurse will typically room patients, take vitals, administer injections and medications as needed.Licensed Practical Nurses work closely with providers to ensure quality patient care; and often act as a critical link between the providers and the patient.
What Qualifications do I need as a Licensed Practical Nurse?
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is also known in some states as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) . Both titles have the same scope of practice.. This position requires either a multi state license, or a license with the Washington State Department of Health.
