The DNA Group is seeking a Tier II Technician responsible for providing advanced technical support for IT hardware, systems, and applications within a public safety environment. The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of IT experience, demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, and be capable of working independently in high-pressure situations. This is a fully onsite position requiring travel throughout the DC area.
Overview Requirements:
· 6–10 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting computer systems and components in an enterprise environment.
· Ability to travel throughout Washington, DC to provide 100% onsite technical support as required, including evenings and weekends.
· Experience supporting 911 MDC systems, 911 applications, computers, and related agency systems.
· Skilled in installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, applications, network devices, and mobile equipment such as routers, tablets, and ruggedized laptops.
· Ability to develop test strategies, perform hardware stress/performance testing, and execute major deployment plans.
· Experience supporting mobile routers, VPN solutions (NetMotion/Zscaler), firewalls, and network infrastructure.
· Proficient in troubleshooting software bugs, performing system checks, and escalating major system issues.
· Strong documentation skills to produce SOPs, test plans, and acceptance procedures for hardware/software deployments.
· Familiarity with IT principles, methods, and best practices for security, performance monitoring, and quality assurance.
· Physically able to perform tasks involving walking, bending, driving, standing, and carrying light IT hardware/equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
· Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across hardware, software, and network systems.
· Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
