This role will lead backend configuration, dashboard development, tool deployment, user enablement, and strategic BI planning for new analytics initiatives. The Developer will work across technical and non-technical teams to build modern data visualization solutions, support BI platform adoption, and guide the agency’s long-term data intelligence strategy.Overview Requirements:Design and develop Power BI dashboards and compelling data visualizations aligned to business needs.Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI Dataflows (Gen 1 and Gen 2).Lead technical setup, deployment to end users, and support adoption of BI solutions.Collaborate with agency leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define BI requirements.Create documentation that supports development, deployment, and BI governance.Conduct user training sessions for technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.Consult on BI strategy, roadmap, data design, and implementation sequencing.Support workshops, design sessions, and requirement-gathering activities.Align BI deliverables with real-world operational decisions and agency-wide reporting needs.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, data-focused, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.1–5 years of experience designing data visualizations and BI solutions.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and SQL.Experience using Microsoft Fabric components such as Dataflows (Gen1/Gen2), Deployment Pipelines, Fabric Pipelines, and Apps.Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps).Experience working with Microsoft SQL tools (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Azure data platform, etc.).Strong analytical capabilities with experience translating business needs into BI solutions.Demonstrated experience training and enabling stakeholders and end users.Experience working with K-12 education datasets and school district personnel.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Highly self-motivated with the ability to deliver independently while collaborating across teams.Required Experience:Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience — 5 Years (Required)Clarifying system and program intent — 5 Years (Required)Identifying problems, suggesting changes, and determining extent of application systems changes — 5 Years (Required)Advanced experience using MS Power BI.
