This role involves creating clear, user-friendly documentation that translates complex technical concepts into readable content for both technical and non-technical audiences. The Documentation Specialist will support government clients by developing manuals, online tutorials, and procedural guides aligned with evolving IT and communication systems.
Overview Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in preparing and editing technical documentation for IT and communications systems.
Skilled in researching and interpreting specialized technical information and translating it into accessible materials.
Proficient in writing user guides, procedural manuals, and reference documentation for both end users and technical personnel.
Ability to coordinate the collection and organization of technical data across multiple teams.
Develop and maintain online tutorials, learning modules, and support materials.
Establish and standardize procedures for data acquisition, document control, and administration.
Strong attention to detail to ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy in documentation.
Experience working in collaborative environments with engineers, analysts, and project managers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in business, communications, IT, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent writing, editing, and formatting skills tailored to a variety of technical subjects.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks across active projects.
Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or other help authoring software.
