Position Overview
The Store Manager oversees all daily operations, ensuring the dispensary runs efficiently, compliantly, and profitably. This role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of retail operations, and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing staff, inventory, compliance, and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage daily store operations to ensure smooth, compliant workflow
Lead, coach, and develop team members, including performance management and training
Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve escalated customer concerns
Maintain compliance with state cannabis regulations and company policies
Monitor inventory levels, coordinate product ordering, and oversee stock management
Review sales performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue goals
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
Manage staff scheduling, payroll reporting, and timekeeping accuracy
Collaborate with upper management on promotions, store initiatives, and operational improvements
Ensure proper cash-handling procedures and POS accuracy
Create a positive, motivating culture for all team members
Requirements
2–4 years of retail management experience (cannabis industry experience highly preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of retail operations, sales strategies, and customer service
Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with cannabis products, compliance, and state regulations (or willingness to learn quickly)
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
