Position Overview
The Dispensary by the BuddBoyz is seeking a proactive and organized Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the growth of our retail dispensary operations. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent while ensuring compliance with state cannabis regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate is people-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about building strong teams in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Hiring
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for dispensary positions
- Post and manage job listings across multiple platforms
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networking
- Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, and coordinate hiring decisions
Onboarding & Compliance
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, documentation, and orientation
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee and applicant records
Hiring Strategy & Employer Branding
- Partner with leadership to understand staffing needs and workforce planning
- Support employer branding efforts by promoting The Dispensary by the BuddBoyz culture and values
- Recommend process improvements to enhance hiring efficiency and candidate experience
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with store managers and leadership to ensure staffing goals are met
- Assist with retention initiatives and employee engagement strategies
- Support HR-related projects as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of recruiting or HR experience (retail or cannabis industry experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and job posting platforms
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Must meet all state and local requirements to work in a cannabis dispensary
- Ability to work flexible hours as hiring needs require

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
