What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restoration Estimator position at The Disaster Company?
The Disaster Company is a full service restoration company helping customers recover from floods, fire and other property damage claims. Our company is growing fast and we are looking for hard working, motivated and dependable individuals to jump on the ride with us! We are looking for an Estimator who has a desire for growth and career opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
> Use Xactimate software to estimate residential water, fire, wind and mold repair projects.
> Visit job sites as necessary and be able to define scope and tasks for each project.
> Help create project material takeoff reports.
> Communicate projects needs to insurance adjusters that may have little construction knowledge
> Effectively communicate with team members to achieve project goals.
> Submit estimates in a timely manner to meet company deadlines.
> Assisting project managers with change orders and budgets.
> Job will be performed from a computer desk about 80% of the time.
Qualifications:
> 1 years experience using Xactimate software
> Strong knowledge of all phases of construction - 5 years construction experience
> Proficient computer skills
> Good analytical skills
> Written and verbal communication skills
> High level of attention to detail
> Self motivated, responsible and accountable
> IICRC training would be a plus, but not required.
Regular expected work hours are M-F 8:00-5:00pm
Salary negotiable based on experience. The Disaster Company offers company benefits.
