Primary Care Provider

The Dimock Center Adult Medicine Department is seeking a Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care to our diverse urban community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven, collaborative provider who is passionate about improving health outcomes and helping shape a comprehensive model of preventive and chronic care in a community health setting. Dimock provides a broad range of integrated health services, including adult and pediatric primary care, behavioral health, obstetrics and gynecology, dental care, and eye care. Our multidisciplinary model allows providers to care for the whole patient while working closely with colleagues across medical and behavioral health disciplines.

Role Overview

The Primary Care Provider will manage a panel of patients and provide comprehensive primary care with the collaboration and support of an integrated team that includes behavioral health clinicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, integrating preventive, chronic disease, and acute care.
  • Manage and follow up on diagnostic studies, hospital and emergency department transitions, and specialty referrals with team support.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in and contribute to quality improvement, population health, and clinic-based initiatives.
  • Identify and lead projects aligned with individual clinical interests and opportunities to improve patient and community health.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and address patients’ medical, behavioral, and social needs.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring opportunities within The Dimock Center and through our academic training partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Physician: MD or DO with completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Licensed Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Board certified or board eligible.
  • Current Massachusetts medical or advanced practice licensure.
  • DEA registration and Massachusetts controlled substance registration, as applicable.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.

Compensation

  • Physician (MD/DO): $200,000–$250,000 per year, plus benefits
  • Nurse Practitioner: $125,000–$150,000 per year, plus benefits
