Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred; specialized bank skills.
Skill(s): Clearly communicates in English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; technical and procedural skills to provide guidance and training; proficient knowledge of bank policies and procedures; moderate PC skills; visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license, as well as proof of auto insurance.
Experience: A minimum of four (4) years' experience in banking normally required.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting a variety of training sessions for new and existing employees; coordinating work within the department as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information. Maintaining of various reports and training materials.
Essential Duties
- Conducts a variety of training sessions for new and existing employees as follows
a. Conducts initial onboarding orientation to include bank products and services, technology, security, compliance, and appropriate customer service for internal and external customers as appropriate for their position.
b. Evaluates and recommends continuation of employment for all new Universal Bankers at the conclusion of training; provides Branch Managers with a written progress report.
c. Administers various quizzes/tests as well as monitors progress through successful completion of their introductory period.
d. Assists with the research, development, and maintenance of training methods, resources, manuals, quizzes/tests, reference guides, etc. to keep training current.
e. Maintains bi-annual branch visitations to ensure continuity of training instruction and branch execution as well as mentor and shadow Universal Bankers for quality assurance.
f. Provides for ongoing in-person and on-line training for procedures, compliance, and sales as well as hard & soft skills that meets the short and long-term goals of the bank.
g. Maintains the resource library of training materials for use by all employees.
h. Maintains the bank’s training records to track completion and grades for on-line and other outside vendor courses, diplomas and schools as directed by the Training Manager.
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Bank personnel.
6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from other Bank personnel, within given time frames and within established policy.
