SAP Business ByDesign Technical Developer- Remote

The SAP Business By Design Technical Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions within the SAP By Design ecosystem. The role focuses on custom development using ABSL, PDI, BODL, Web Services, and integration frameworks to support business processes and enhance system functionality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Development & Customization

• Develop custom solutions in SAP ByD PDI (Partner Development Infrastructure) using ABSL scripting.
• Create and enhance Business Objects using BODL/BOD.
• Build custom UI components through UI Designer and extend standard screens.
• Develop extension fields, custom validations, business rules, and automation logic.

2. Integration Development

• Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations using Web Services, OData services, and ByD APIs.
• Build and manage integrations with third-party systems (ERP, CRM, e-commerce, payment, logistics).
• Work with CPI/Integration framework for message mapping, communication arrangements, and adapters.

3. Data Migration & Reporting

• Perform data migration using Data Workbench, XML templates, and Migration Workbench.
• Create custom analytical reports, KPIs, dashboards, and data sources.
• Work with form templates (Adobe LiveCycle) for output forms such as invoices, POs, delivery notes.

4. System Enhancements & Issue Resolution

• Troubleshoot system issues, debug ABSL code, and optimize solutions.
• Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Provide system performance tuning, enhancements, and ongoing support.

5. Documentation & Best Practices

• Prepare technical specifications, test scripts, and deployment documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SAP ByD development standards and lifecycle processes.
• Participate in UAT, SIT, and production rollout activities.
