Job Description:
The Diggs at Paws and Claws is seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking Kennel / Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who truly enjoys working with animals and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and structured environment for dogs in our care.
The right candidate will be a trustworthy team player with knowledge of animal care and basic animal behavior, who is comfortable handling dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of kennels, play areas, and facility spaces
- Supervising dogs in daycare and monitoring group play
- Observing and responding appropriately to dog behavior
- Feeding, watering, and general care of boarding dogs
- Maintaining a safe and calm environment for all animals
- Assisting with daily kennel routines and facility upkeep
Schedule:
- Several Shifts available
- Rotating weekends as needed
- Weekends and holidays are required
Requirements:
- Knowledge of animal care and basic animal behavior
- Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and personalities
- Ability to perform physical work including cleaning, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, trustworthy, and a strong team player
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Previous kennel, veterinary, shelter, or daycare experience is a plus but not required
