Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques with precision and care.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and medical history documentation.
• Support clinical staff in preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting procedures, test results, and patient information thoroughly and promptly.
• Manage medical records and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards while supporting administrative tasks like appointment scheduling and patient check-in/out processes.
• Monitor patient physiology including vital signs and assist in medication administration under supervision when necessary.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, safety procedures, and basic life support (BLS) guidelines to promote a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential or equivalent certification with valid phlebotomy certification.
• Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and pharmacology to support accurate documentation and patient care.
• Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for efficient medical documentation and records management.
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
