Come join a wonderful community! Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, the facilities custodian performs cleaning duties to ensure a healthy, safe and attractive school environment and supervises evening events. Approximately 20 hours per week.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs basic cleaning duties, which may include some of the following actions (not an exhaustive list):
- vacuuming areas as needed with a backpack vacuum
- dusting or washing of chairs, desks, tables, room surfaces, exercise equipment, glass
- maintaining floors, including floor finishing and floor machine operation
- removing trash indoors and out
- cleaning bathrooms/ locker rooms
- maintaining secured building, following opening and closing procedures
- Setup, supervise, and take down on-campus events as directed.
- Set up athletic equipment, tables, chairs, and other required equipment to support the event;
- Provide custodial services during event as required;
- Operates motor vehicles, motorized equipment, grounds and snow removal equipment.
- Follows all safety instructions in usage of supplies, equipment and machinery; wears appropriate personal protective gear; maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area.
- Performs light maintenance work, which may include (not an exhaustive list):
- painting
- removing snow from sidewalks, entrances and exits
- Performs other duties as assigned.
