How You’ll Make An Impact
Property Operations & Compliance
- Assist the General Manager with daily operations, ensuring efficient and compliant management of the community.
- Maintain accurate property-level data, prepare monthly operational reports, and support special projects as assigned.
- Prepare and distribute resident notices, memos, and correspondence as directed.
- Support building code compliance with requirements and ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local housing laws, including Fair Housing.
- Support leasing efforts by greeting prospects, conducting tours, qualifying applicants, and presenting available homes professionally.
- Assist with all leasing-related activities, including move-ins, renewals, resident insurance, and rental eligibility verification.
- Maintain accurate resident records including lease dates, charges, credits, and account details.
- Promote resident retention through proactive communication and resolution of concerns.
- Mediate resident discussions and ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction through excellent service and follow-up.
- Process rent payments, AR tracking, promptly and accurately. Prepare three-day notices, past due balance letters and file evictions.
- Monitor delinquent accounts, initiate and follow through with legal proceedings, and attend court hearings if required.
- Prepare tenant arrears reports and coordinate with legal teams as needed.
- Process security deposit refunds in compliance with state and company policies.
- Support budget preparation and assist with monthly financial reporting and variance tracking.
- Source, schedule, and manage vendors and contractors, ensuring quality work and adherence to property standards.
- Oversee proper invoicing and vendor statement reconciliation.
- Coordinate maintenance work orders and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Support the maintenance team with communication, scheduling, and resident updates.
- Provide support in the absence of the General Manager and assist with managerial duties as directed.
- Support and coach office staff to improve performance and operational efficiency.
- Attend team meetings, take notes to follow up with Action plan, and assist executing on the follow-up actions.
- Ensure the office and leasing areas are maintained in a pristine, professional, and welcoming condition.
- Associate’s degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience; a high school diploma or GED may be considered with relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience in multifamily property management (experience in luxury preferred).
- Knowledge of rent stabilization regulations, IAI/MCI filings, and affordable housing compliance is strongly preferred (for regulated markets).
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage ILM, On-Site) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset and high emotional intelligence.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for travel between properties.
- Authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
