What are the responsibilities and job description for the DevSecOps Engineer Manager (Web3) position at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC)?
This role is the spearhead for the Application support of Web3 Platform Development that supports various business functions across DTCC. You will be guiding the internal team on engineering best practices, DevSecOps, software architecture and security architecture in addition helping leadership in strategic decisions on how to evolve our platform. The Web3 platform involve building solutions inhouse and integrating off-the-shelf vendor solutions as needed. You will provide technical leadership across multiple engineering organizations spread around the globe. You will drive the platform design, architecture and execution across the internal teams and external stakeholders. This will require you to work closely with leaders from our business partners and DTCC technology risk assessment teams. This role is critical for our mission of building and providing a Web3 platform for production workloads across DTCC functions. This role will function as L1/L2 support for Web3 infrastructure for production application.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- DevOps Manager to support L1/L2 function.
- Lead and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers across multiple product lines.
- Define and implement cloud-first and middleware-integrated technology roadmaps in
- collaboration with Architecture, Infrastructure, and Product teams.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Cloud & Middleware Engineering
- Drive the design and development of cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Lead all aspects of migration of existing systems to different cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
- Lead integration efforts using technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, Cloud Managed Databases, API gateways, and service meshes.
Technical Excellence
- Champion engineering standard methodologies including DevSecOps, microservices architecture, and API-first design.
- Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) based delivery
- Ensure systems meet performance, compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate new technologies and guide adoption to improve DTCC’s technology stack. Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering plans.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Proven 10 years of experience in software engineering, with 5 years in a leadership role..
- Proven experience in supporting production applications.
- Lead and coordinate incident management for the application.
- Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-native applications on a large scale.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong experience with technologies such as Messaging systems, managed databases, container orchestrators, or similar.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and enterprise software development.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
- Familiarity with cloud security, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and API
management platforms.
Salary : $170,000 - $200,000
