As an Associate Director in IT, you will be a strategic subject matter authority and leader in the IT Asset Management team, playing a meaningful role in modernizing how we lead our software assets, alignment into the configuration management database, supporting data models, lifecycle, and relationships across systems. Your Primary Responsibilities
- Lead SALM function and staff.
- Maintain records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software.
- Track quality throughout the product lifecycle. Responsible for day-to-day operations and lifecycle management pertaining to IT Assets within the contracted operating environment.
- Coordinate with the procurement, finance, and legal functions on contracts to gather vital software license positions and management of the software license inventory.
- Coordinate and manage all software management and lifecycle related policies, procedures, controls, job aids, and reports.
- Support the modernization of ITAM processes that will be built on a new industry standard platform which will provide more insight into relationship management, life cycle management, and risk management.
- Align with adjacent teams to coordinate on process, operations, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure process efficiency by implementing key performance indicators, continuous improvement plans, and automation.
- Manage related audit, regulatory, and control framework requests for information and evidentiary reporting.
- Maintain strong operational controls around SALM functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including IT delivery, operations, service management and/or support
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including software asset management, asset lifecycle management, IT service management, contracts and licensing, and working across a wide array of IT support functions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet with clients, present to senior management and provide updates to regulators / supervisors.
- Ability to work across teams to create partnerships that achieve organization goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills are key to be successful in this role.
- Proven track record of implementing and/or redefining ITAM & SALM functions.
- Familiarity with agile delivery practices and methodology.
- Deep understanding of ITAM and ITIL principles and configuration management.
- Solid understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its application in the IT Asset Management space.
- Experience initiating continuous improvement projects.
