Overview
I am working with a personal injury law firm that is seeking an experienced and highly organized Personal Injury Case Manager to join our team. The Case Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating personal injury cases from inception through resolution. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, empathetic, and committed to providing outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Oversee the progression of personal injury cases, including managing case files, opening claims, sending letter of representations, tracking deadlines, and ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns throughout the case process.
- Documentation: Prepare and review case documentation, including pleadings, correspondence, and settlement offers. Ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Coordination: Collaborate with attorneys, medical professionals, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and evidence for case development.
- Investigations: Conduct investigations as needed, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining medical records.
- Negotiation: Assist attorneys in negotiating settlements and resolving disputes with opposing parties and insurance companies.
- Case Strategy: Help develop case strategies in collaboration with attorneys and provide input based on case progress and client needs.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards, including maintaining client confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties such as managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and preparing case-related reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a case manager or paralegal, in personal injury law.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with personal injury law, legal procedures, and case management best practices.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, empathetic, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
