What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Receptionist position at The Dental People?
The Face of Our Practice: Dental Receptionist (General & Ortho)
Are you a people person with a passion for making others smile? We are a thriving, private, non-corporate dental practice in search of a high-energy Receptionist to join our tight-knit team!
We bridge the worlds of General Dentistry and Orthodontics, meaning every day brings fresh challenges and rewarding patient transformations. If you’re tired of the "corporate" feel and want to work where the doctors truly care about their patients and their staff, you’ve found your home.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- A Culture of Support: You are never on an island. We provide strong team support to ensure you’re confident and successful.
- Growth & Training: While prior dental experience is strongly preferred, we are absolutely willing to train the right person who has the drive and the heart for patient care.
- Performance-Based Incentives: We believe in rewarding excellence! Your hard work and precision directly impact your earning potential.
- The "Private" Difference: We prioritize patient relationships over high-volume quotas. Work alongside great doctors in a professional, warm environment.
The Role: Impacting Every Visit
As our Front Desk Lead, you aren't just "answering phones"—you are the architect of the patient experience. You will:
- Be the Welcome: Greet our community with a warmth that eases dental anxiety.
- Master the Flow: Coordinate schedules for both general and ortho patients using systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft to keep the clinic humming.
- Financial Guide: Help patients navigate insurance verifications, explain benefits, and manage co-pays with clarity and care.
- Operations Pro: Manage EMR updates (Dentrix), handle multi-line phones, and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- Energy & Professionalism: You have a proactive "can-do" attitude and a knack for multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent phone etiquette and a talent for explaining complex info simply.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with dental software and Microsoft Office; bilingual skills are a major plus!
- Detail-Oriented: You take pride in accurate records and organized schedules.
Ready to join a team that feels like family? We’re looking for someone who wants more than just a job—someone who wants to make a difference in our patients' lives.
