Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic technique.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures.
- Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Maintain infection control standards, sterilize instruments, and uphold HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy.
- Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and other imaging equipment to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow and enhance patient experience.
- Assist with medical documentation, coding procedures for insurance claims, and managing medical records accurately.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for efficient record management.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with special needs patients is a plus.
- Certification in radiography or X-ray techniques is required; additional certifications in infection control or CPR are beneficial.

Pay: $24.51 - $29.52 per hour
