Are you a forward-thinking technologist with the vision to build a department from the ground up? We are seeking an Inaugural Director of Technological Development to serve as our lead technical strategist — a proactive leader capable of bridging cutting-edge innovation and organizational operations. (This is an unpaid start-up position)
Strategic Leadership• Act as a key advisor to the Executive Director and fellow department heads, providing expert guidance on technology deployment, acquisition, and long-term technical needs.
• Stay at the cutting edge of industry trends, continuously identifying and implementing improvements to our technological ecosystem.
Departmental Architecture & Recruitment• Own the complete build-out of the department: establish concrete operational goals, define specific roles, and recruit the talent needed to fill them.
• Manage external contractors and onboard paid employees as funding allows.
Operational Excellence• Oversee the organization’s website and ensure all technology remains functional and up-to-date.
• Direct strategic use of funds for technology, scaling tools and team in alignment with the organization’s financial growth.
Partner Ecosystem & Integration• Conduct research into the technology platforms used by our partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Train and enable team members who work with partners to understand their specific tech stacks.
• Strategize and execute integrations between our proprietary technology and partner systems to maximize collective impact.
