Inspection and Control Technician
The Inspection and Control Technician leads system-wide inspection and control services across a multi-state portfolio. This role protects asset integrity and uncovers issues before they escalate. Travel (including overnights) is required two to four weeks out of every month, and the technician must be fully comfortable being on the road for extended periods. The position operates independently with full accountability for accuracy, follow-through, and timely reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct full-scope inspections across all properties in five states, covering interiors, exteriors, common areas, mechanical rooms, and grounds
- Oversee portfolio-wide control treatments and prevention programs to maintain safe and compliant living conditions
- Complete mandatory quarterly inspections for every asset with precise documentation
- Produce organized compliance reports * Detect risk early and escalate concerns immediately so corrective action can be taken before damage grows
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure issues are resolved and properly recorded
- Track recurring patterns across properties and help leadership pinpoint root causes
Qualifications:
- High attention to detail with the ability to stay focused during heavy inspection cycles
- Ability to travel two to four weeks per month, including overnight trips
- Background in property maintenance, inspection, control programs, or compliance is preferred
- Self-driven, reliable, and able to work without daily supervision
- Strong communication and reporting skills
