What are the responsibilities and job description for the Showroom/VIP/Influencer Intern position at The deFIANT?
THIS POSITION IS UNPAID; FOR COLLEGE CREDIT OR EXPERIENCE ONLY
As a VIP/Influencer intern at The deFIANT, you will be an extension of the team and an integral component to the agency's daily tasks and operations. This internship will also provide you an opportunity to develop professional skills in order to learn the role of PR, branding, and influencer relations within an agency setting. This internship is a hands-on and semester-long (14-16 weeks) opportunity to gain experience with everyday tasks such as (capture media and influencer placements and research related to upcoming projects including brand partnerships, new business, etc).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the preparation and distribution of media materials
- Assist in conducting research for clients
- Aid in planning and/or attending client events
- Help organize and file documents via Google Drive and Dropbox
- Assist with media and influencer monitoring
- Build and update media lists and databases
- Ensure the showroom remains clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Pack and ship PR boxes in a timely and professional manner
- Inventory management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Available to start ASAP, only apply if you can start within the next two weeks
- Must be available in person 2-3 days a week (at minimum) from 9 AM-4 PM
- Must be in the process of earning a degree (AA,BA,MA) from an accredited two or four year college or university (full-time or part-time enrollment) OR possess a strong desire to gain experience in this industry from working professionals
- Journalism, communications, advertising or public relations major or concentration preferred, but not required
- Personal laptop required
- Passion to learn about the PR industry
- Excellent writing, editing, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of social platforms including TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
- Working knowledge of OS X and Google Suite
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized
- Responsible for timely completion of work
- Professional appearance and conduct
