Production Artist – Full Time
We are looking for a Set Up/Production Artist. Do you possess strong technical skills? Are you a fast learner and self-starter? Do you understand the importance of meeting production goals and maintaining a sense of urgency? If so, then you are an ideal applicant for this position.
Job Description
Ability to perform all art functions as well as preparing files for prepress. Should be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and understand Photoshop. The employee is expected to display a high level of accuracy and be able to check their own work, recognize any inaccuracies and correct them before the job proceeds to the next stage of production.
A summary of duties to include:
· Taking existing art and making it prepress ready
· Ensuring all graphic elements are consistent across related files
· Labeling and archiving of final files
· Working efficiently with other graphic artists on same projects
· Correct first time quality checking art files and proofs for accuracy
· Other duties as assigned
Good job candidates will possess the following skill set:
· 2 years of experience in set up for vinyl graphics industry is PREFERRED
· Experience with all major printing processes and 3D a plus
· The ability to recognize press characteristics as they relate to file preparation for printing
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy
· The ability to produce error-free work
· Candidate must be flexible and team oriented
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks and tight deadlines
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
· Excellent communication skills
Education/Experience
· Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
