About DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE): DDSE is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to fiber optic telecommunications services (residential and commercial) for a variety of telecommunications companies throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced civil engineers, surveyors, permitting specialists, and construction personnel, as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety.
Our Designers are responsible for working with senior level staff to prepare design and permit plan documents for a variety of projects. We are currently looking for entry-level designers in the fiber optic telecommunications area. The Designer would be responsible for preparing everything from engineering details to fiber designs in support of permitting projects. Associated design and drafting for these projects will be performed utilizing primarily GIS and AutoCAD software products. This is a fast paced, dynamic position that will require working both independently and as a member of a larger team moving projects from inception through completion.
Telecommunications Designer Pay Range: $24-28/hour

Skills and Experience:
Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong attention to detail with sound analytical capabilities

Preferred:
- Experience with Katapult survey equipment, AutoCAD, and GIS
