About us

The Dawg House is a fun and upscale Daycare, Boarding, and Grooming facility. We provide your dog to come and socialize with others their size and temperament. They will love to run around in our playrooms and playgrounds. We also have kenneling for when you go out of town. Overnight stay also includes Daycare, so they won't be stuck around doing nothing all day.

Specific Job Duties:

• Clean and maintain kennels and playing areas on a daily basis.

• Clean other areas. Sweep, take out garbage, clean windows, etc.

• Clean and maintain equipment: i.e. carriers, leashes, brushes, etc.

• Wash food and water bowls and put them away in an orderly fashion.

• Provide each dog with food and water following approved feeding protocols.

• Help as needed with the check-in and check-out of dogs.

• Follow proper safety measures and procedures when using chemicals and cleaning supplies

• Assist other employees and clients in a cheerful and respectful manner as a representative of the Dawg House.

• Help with washing, drying and folding of laundry.

• Help maintain a clean and organized storage room and feeding area.
• Make sure dogs have a clean and disenfected area to sleep and play
• Make sure outside the building is cleaned and sanitized

• Inform supervisor of any health issues with the animals.

• Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge:

• Able to read, write, understand and follow oral and written instructions

Skills and Abilities:

• Should enjoy working with dogs

• Able to humanely handle dogs under various circumstances

• Able to work harmoniously with other employees

• Must be punctual, reliable, and responsible

Physical Demands

• Able to stand for long periods of time

• Able to lift and carry 40 lb bags and boxes

• Able to bend and squat regularly

• Able to handle large animals (up to 100 lbs dog)

Able to and maintain cleaning throughout facility and property

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.50 per hour
