Job Overview
Our mission at the Davis Center is to provide the highest quality childcare in a loving, supportive, Christian environment. As a licensed childcare provider, we must adhere to numerous regulations set forth by DHS and other agencies. A typical day in the Preschool classrooms includes preparing and delivering classroom activities, communicating with staff and parents, and ensuring that the learning environment remains safe at all times.
Preschool Teacher Responsibilities:
· Create lesson plans for daily activities in line with the TN-ELDs Developmental Standards
· Engage with young children in activities that are developmentally appropriate
· Foster a positive and healthy learning environment
· Ensure the classroom is kept in a clean and safe condition at all times
· Read stories to the children as a group activity
· Encourage creative thinking and learning
Qualifications for Preschool Teacher:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Abe to pass a background check
· Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting
· Maintain a positive attitude and communicate respectfully with parents and staff at all times
· Strong knowledge of early childhood education and methods for teaching young children
· Patient and supportive approach to the learning process
· Enthusiastic and encouraging
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time while teaching
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· A passion for early childhood development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
