Position Overview
Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, has an immediate need for a Junior Accountant to work in a team environment to assist the other accounting staff and the Controller. This person must be able to perform basic accounting functions, work well with others, and serve as a key support member on the accounting team. This full-time position requires occasional evening and weekend work due to month-end close responsibilities and deadlines. The successful candidate will report to our Gainesville, Virginia office.

Job Duties
- Data entry
- A/R processing and collections
- Billing assistance
- Contract review and project set up
- Assist with office administration tasks
- Assist with month-end/year-end close and internal reporting
- Other tasks as requested by senior staff
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Recent college graduate or 0-5 years’ experience
- Basic knowledge of automated accounting systems (will train on SAP S/4 software)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Detail and results oriented, self-starter, organized, and able to multitask with a high-volume workload
- Able to work in both a team setting and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional internal and external customer service with a positive attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable individual that is dedicated to quality performance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
