This role will help designers and software developers test out all of their implementations before they are released to our users to ensure we’re developing the highest quality product.

As an Engineer Intern, you will be exposed to the entire product development life cycle and will interface with designers, software developers, and stakeholders to uncover issues and work toward solutions. We are gearing up for our 2026 Summer Internship Program!

This internship location will be based in our Pittsburgh, PA, or our Richfield, OH office, but the team that this intern will work with has team members who work around the country!

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Digitally perform audits of existing telecommunication and electrical distribution activities
- Select and interpret data, on a map based platform
- Utilize Katapult software to analyze field photography and translate field measurements
- Accurately identify and record telecommunications and electrical equipment and structures
- Execute and plan daily goals while meeting quality, time, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with others (project managers, other engineers, clients, technicians, and administration) to learn how to devise the best infrastructure solutions.
- Preferred Associates/Bachelors or a related technical discipline; A degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Must possess high levels of computer understanding – especially MS Word, Excel, MS Project, and/or Google Chrome.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Comfortable speaking with multiple levels of management.
- Ability to learn and operate customer based proprietary software and other computer systems.
- Expedite and facilitate project based work orders in a timely fashion.
- Proven ability to deal with governing authorities and their requirements, negotiate with private landowners, and provide communication, instruction, and guidance as needed to contractors.
- Understanding of telecommunication and/or electrical distributions systems is a plus
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering schematics and plans is a plus
