Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Cleaner to join our team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our food service establishment, supporting culinary staff, and providing excellent hospitality experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for cleanliness and food safety. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and storage spaces and customer areas.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service hours
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and setup
- Ensure proper storage of clean dishes and kitchen supplies
- Follow all sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with catering setup and cleanup for events or banquets when required
- Support the culinary team with light kitchen duties to ensure efficient service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, catering, or culinary environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as required
- A commitment to cleanliness, safety, and excellent customer service standards
