Studio Assistant (Part-Time)

The Dance Gallery is looking for a dependable, organized, and energetic Studio Assistant to join our team! This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of our studio by providing exceptional customer service, supporting our instructors and office staff, and helping create a welcoming environment for our students and families.

Position Details

• Job Type: Part-Time
• Hours: Approximately 25-30 hours per week
• Schedule: Tuesday-Friday - Afternoon/evening hours; Saturday mornings and occasional additional weekend hours for studio events.

Responsibilities and Customer Service:

• Greet students and families with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Create a welcoming first impression for everyone entering the studio.
• Answer and return phone calls and emails promptly when the Office Manager is unavailable.
• Maintain knowledge of studio policies, tuition, registration, and fees to assist families.

Studio Operations:

• Follow daily opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming lobby, studios, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Restock supplies including restroom items, coffee bar, and studio materials.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and high-touch areas.
• Organize and restock the studio boutique.
• Take out trash and maintain overall studio appearance.

Instructor Support:

• Assist instructors in a variety of dance classes for different ages and styles.
• Be available to substitute designated classes as needed (training provided).
• Help organize classroom supplies, props, mats, stickers, and hair ties.
• Sanitize studio equipment and teaching materials.

Recital & Event Support:

• Measure students for costumes.
• Organize costume control sheets.
• Assist with recital costume inventory and organization.
• Create recital costume books with photos and participant information.
• Assemble recital information packets.
• Support studio events including recitals, performances, community events, and seasonal celebrations.

Retail & Administrative Support:

• Updating inventory reports, unbox merchandise and restock the boutique.
• Notify management when supplies are running low.
• Maintain studio organization.
• Keep the front desk, teacher lounge, and shared spaces neat and organized.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• dance: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
