Positions: Janitor, full-time/regular, and one full-time/temporary (approximate length of assignment 2 months)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with rotating weekends.

Pay: $15.50 - 16.45 per hour, based on experience

Location: Charlotte, NC 28210

Position Summary

The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused cleaning enthusiast to join our team! This position is responsible for cleaning services to residential homes. Our staff performs a variety of housekeeping and cleaning duties that exceed industry guidelines and leave a lasting impression on everyone they serve. Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident buildings, hallways, stairwells, lobbies, elevators, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned campus spaces.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and cleaning floors, furnishings, walls, woodwork, glass, and equipment.
• Empty, clean, and maintain trash receptacles, waste baskets, recycling areas, and related containers in and around buildings.
• Disinfect, deodorize, and polish assigned areas and surfaces according to department standards and direction.
• Assist with room setups for meetings, events, activities, and functions throughout the campus.
• Move furniture, complete exterior cleaning tasks, stock incoming supplies, and help maintain department vehicles and equipment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be age 18 or older.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
• Must be able to frequently stand, stoop, bend, squat throughout a shift, and be able to stand/walk for up to 70% of the workday.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds without assistance, and push/pull on a cart.
• Ability to count and perform simple mathematics to insure proper inventory levels.
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain “clean” driving record.
• Knowledge of floor care maintenance to include vinyl tile and carpet cleaning.
