What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cake Decorator position at The Cupcake Collection?
The Cupcake Collection is looking for a cake decorator to join our joy team! Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, hard-working and has prior cake decorating experience. At least one year of professional cake decorating is required. Exceptional communication skills to do interact with customers and work across teams. They are willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to ensure our customers have an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities
- Master the art of decorating celebration cakes and cupcakes to The Cupcake Collection specifications and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment behind the counter and in the dining area where applicable.
- Act as a company advocate and embody the Cupcake Collection Culture.
- Retain and demonstrate proper policies and procedures delivered by trainers and managers with enthusiasm.
- Demonstrate teamwork skills as you rely on and assist fellow associates in providing the Cupcake Collection Experience.
- Assist with all cleaning duties as stated on opening, closing, daily, and/or weekly checklists.
- Report to work as scheduled and fulfill requirements for duration of shift.
- Box or package, cupcakes and other bakery goods as needed.
- Act with a high level of detail when following instructions.
Qualifications
- Prior cake decorating experience (Preferred)
- A passion and love of the Cupcake Collection product, brand, and experience.
- Ability to work a changing schedule that can be between 7am-2pm.
- Ability to communicate verbally and understand/follow written and verbal instructions from management.
- Must be able to move around the front of the bakery as you bend down for bags and reach up for cupcake trays.
- Ability to be on your feet for hours at a time.
- Can lift at least 50 pounds, which can include carrying cupcake trays, icing, and bags of boxed purchases.
- Can maintain a consistent pace through the shift.
PAY OF $15-$20/hr INCLUDES TIPS OF ($3 - $5/hr)
