Senior Associate, Evaluation & Impact

The Crosby Company
Boston, MA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/15/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/14/2026

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Fidelity Foundations is seeking a strategic, analytical, and intellectually curious Senior Associate, Evaluation & Impact to join our growing Insights and Impact team. This role will work in close partnership with the Director, Evaluation & Impact and support all aspects of the Foundations’ evaluation and learning work.

The Senior Associate will work at the intersection of data, strategy, and storytelling — translating grantmaking outcomes into actionable insights that shape how we learn, adapt, and amplify our impact.  They will bring deep expertise in quantitative analysis, with the ability to contextualize quantitative findings and integrate qualitative insights to inform decision-making across the organization. In addition to conducting internal analyses, the Senior Associate will manage external evaluation consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with strategic goals and reflect the Foundation’s values.

In collaboration with the Director, program teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders, the Senior Associate will help build infrastructure for impact measurement, develop compelling data visualizations, design learning cycles, and support compelling case studies and evaluation reports that bring our work to life. They will also manage external evaluation consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with strategic goals and reflect the Foundation’s values.

This role requires strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, coordinate across teams, and drive work forward in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Evaluation Reporting

  • Develop evaluation reports (e.g., portfolio reviews, case studies) that synthesize complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Tailor storytelling to diverse audiences — from program teams to Trustees — balancing rigor with accessibility.
  • Ensure reports and narratives reflect both strategic nuance and human-centered impact.
  • As needed, manage external evaluation consultants, including project scoping, oversight, and quality assurance.

Data Analysis & Visualization

  • Conduct quantitative analyses using large datasets to surface trends, patterns, and strategic insights.
  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Translate complex datasets into intuitive, visually engaging formats that support decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity through rigorous validation and quality control.
  • Stay ahead of trends (e.g., AI in analytics) to continuously improve data practices.
  • Coach team members on best practices and democratize access to data insights.

Learning & Evaluation

  • Support the design and implementation of data-informed learning cycles and step-backs with program teams and leadership.
  • Facilitate conversations with program teams to define learning questions and outcomes aligned with strategic goals.
  • Design and refine data collection approaches across internal and external sources.
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to surface insights and cross-cutting themes.
  • Lead synthesis workshops to drive reflection, adaptation, and cross-team learning.
  • Develop tailored recommendations and implementation plans to improve practices.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent evaluation projects, balancing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication to support transparency and accountability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with program, grants management, and insights teams to align evaluation efforts with strategic goals.
  • Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences in compelling, accessible formats.
  • Support internal capacity-building and foster a culture of learning across the organization.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
