Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Food Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that fosters guest relations
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while multitasking efficiently
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Experience in upselling menu items and enhancing guest experiences through sales techniques
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and processing transactions accurately
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus for better understanding of food preparation and presentation
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members seamlessly
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for serving, bussing, and guest services
