The Creekside School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, individualized therapy services to students with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.
You will play a key role in helping students build essential life skills by supporting the development of fine and gross motor abilities, sensory processing, self-regulation, and independence. This position involves implementing IEP-driven therapy plans, collecting and tracking student progress, collaborating with teachers and families, and supporting students across classroom and community-based settings.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, patient, and passionate about working with students with moderate to severe needs. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, communicates effectively, and thrives in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or special education setting
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and sensory integration strategies
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
